Overview

EFI OneFlow™ delivers an advanced prepress solution that connects digital and offset environments. The digital workflow software, based on Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF), offers an easy-to-use, cost effective product that caters to the production requirements of professional printers.

  • Enhanced workflow capabilities. With its intuitive, icon-based interface, users can customize their workflow for prepress functions. Its powerful production tools such as Hot Folders convert files to PDF, PDF/X PS, EPS and TIFF/IT, while its Automated Prepress tools enable preflight, file correction, trapping, imposition and proofing.
  • Advanced colour management system. EFI OneFlow incorporates Adobe’s-based RIP and EFI ColorWise® to generate vibrant, accurate colour. The solution also provides the RIP Once Output Many (ROOM) architecture combined with Best® technology to produce proofing features that integrate into any computer-to-plate, computer-to-film, direct imaging or digital-printing environment.
  • Saves time and labour. OneFlow Imposition streamlines prepress operations by fully automating the imposition process -- saving time and reducing labour costs. This feature stores and organizes all elements such bars, trims, folds, marks and templates, while allowing users to preview final PDF-imposed signatures and make last-minute changes.
  • 24/7 job management. The OneFlow Job Tracker Application enables easy job tracking and management in real time from anywhere. OneFlow’s interactive Job Edit feature also offers interactive settings for trapping, spot colours, imposition templates and automatic corrections for all job requirements.

Xralle

 

Xralle is an internet to print, e-commerce print procurement system that has been designed to enable the end customer to create, change and order documents via the Internet. These documents can be as simple as a business card or as complex as a variable data direct mail piece.

Highly profitable levels of automation can be achieved by the combination of an online instant proofing system and JDF information allowing turnaround times, administration costs and wastage to be dramatically reduced.

Xralle’s principle components are a front end web-based customer interface and a back end administration module linked to a digital printing engine. This front end interface enables the printer’s customer, or even a print management company, to quickly create jobs, update template data and order work from the printers digital production facility via the Xralle server which produces print ready PDF’s and XML files. The system can also be integrated with a management information system (MIS) and an online digital asset management system to allow access to logos, special fonts and image files in addition to web-based publishing software to enhance online document editing and creation. An online archive allows customers to personalise and place a print order before tracking it through to completion, all from their own computer.

PlanetPress

 

Objectif Lune’s PlanetPress 4 and PlanetPress Suite offer you an Adobe® PostScript® forms design and document management solution.

PlanetPress 4 is a design tool that is used to create and modify forms and map variable data on the electronic forms.

  • This package will allow you to download electronic forms to PostScript printer’s RAM, flash memory, or hard disk.
  • Data can then be sent directly to the printer, where all text, graphics and data are merged on the printer, providing ultimate throughput and minimizing network traffic.

PlanetPress Suite consists of the following modules:

PlanetPress Watch is a document workflow tool that may be used to automate printing process and enable electronic distribution of your documents.

  • Captures incoming data streams, processes and routes them to multiple output destinations
  • Enables output job splitting, cluster printing, remote printing, archiving in PDF, JPG and TIFF formats and document distribution via e-mail or fax (in conjunction with other PlanetPress Suite modules)
  • Installs on IBM xSeries servers running Windows®
  • Helps you consolidate print operations, satisfy customer preferences for document receipt, and optimise human resources

PlanetPress Image plugs into PlanetPress Watch.

  • Enables automatic generation, delivery and archiving of conditional PDFs, JPGs or TIFFs using the same variable data content as your printed output

PlanetPress Fax enables automatic, direct faxing of documents via modem or fax server.

PlanetPress iWatch is a software application that enables you to print PlanetPress documents to a PostScript printer from IBM iSeries servers.

  • Removes the need to add a Windows print server to integrate Objectif Lune’s PostScript printing solution on the iSeries integrated platform.

Collectively you can use Planet Press Watch on a Windows server to capture a sample spool data file format from the iSeries server. After sample spool data is captured, you use PlanetPress Design Tool to create your form, which can be compiled and sent along with the trigger file directly to the iSeries server via FTP. Alternatively, just the trigger can be sent to the PlanetPress iWatch, and the PlanetPress document can be sent to the target printer.
